Warwick Emanuel PR branches out into films

Cardiff-based Warwick Emanuel PR has set up a new media company to meet growing demand from businesses for low cost web films, news reports and information podcasts.
The company says Warwick Emanuel Films was created to help clients reach more of their target audiences, cut costs, and also demonstrate environmental best practise by reducing their reliance on printed marketing and information material.
In its first two months the company has made three corporate films, an annual report and several news podcasts and advisory films - and says it has a growing number of orders in the pipeline.
The new company is headed by trained broadcast journalist Katie Chappelle. She said, “We have developed a package and techniques to provide web content at excellent prices. We are tapping into a market in which many people previously thought commissioning films was too expensive.
“We have kept overheads relatively low in order to keep down our prices. We have invested in equipment and people to make high definition films that are ideal for showing on websites, promotional DVDs and business presentations. The costs are much lower than has been the norm in recent years, so more clients are seeing that new media can present a very cost-effective way to get their messages over.”
She added, “In addition, many people want to get information in film format, rather than ploughing through documents. Some clients say they save money and show environmental responsibility by producing film reports rather than glossy paper documents.”
Warwick Emanuel PR is also able to offer new media options such as electronic magazines and web content, to accompany its films.
Warwick Emanuel was set up in 2001 by business partners Elizabeth Warwick and Wynford Emanuel. The company now employs ten people and specialises in the energy, utility, public sector and business to business sectors.
Wynford Emanuel said, “Digital technology is bringing great opportunities for us and our clients. We’ve got off to a flying start and the new services will help us to expand the business further in coming years.”
