• Something sensible about me:

A south Wales valleys’ boy, I started out as a newspaper reporter, joined a PR consultancy on the outskirts of London – and went on to work in-house in all utility sectors. Decided to start a business in 2001 as I always wondered if I could make a go of it.

• Something different about me:

Sadly, I helped cause the demise of the long-running Taff Raft Race. My team’s beautiful 8-man raft crashed into a bridge when the river was a raging torrent and I was stuck underneath. It took quite a while to be rescued – and in these safety-conscious times the event was never run again.
